There are two specialised areas of training in the complete CompTIA A+ course, and you're just required to achieve pass marks in each to gain A+ competency. When you embark on the A+ computer training course you will learn how to build, fix, repair and work in antistatic conditions. 'Exam Guarantees' are often bundled with training offers - they always involve paying for the exam fees up-front, at the start of your training. Before you get carried away with a course with such a promise, why not think about this:

They've allowed costings for it one way or another. You can be assured it's not a freebie - it's simply been shoe-horned into the price as a whole. Those who go in for their examinations when it's appropriate, funding them as they go are much more likely to pass. They are aware of the cost and revise more thoroughly to be ready for the task.

Isn't it outrageous to have to pay the training course provider at the start of the course for examination fees? Find the best exam deal or offer at the appropriate time, instead of paying a premium - and do it locally - not at somewhere of their bidding. A lot of extra profit is netted by a number of companies who get money upfront for exam fees. For quite legitimate reasons, a number of students don't get to do their exams and so they pocket the rest. Amazingly, providers exist who depend on students not taking their exams - as that's very profitable for them. The majority of organisations will insist on pre-tests and with-hold subsequent exam entries from you until you've proven conclusively that you can pass - so an 'Exam Guarantee' comes with many clauses in reality.

Exams taken at VUE and Prometric centres are around 112 pounds in the UK. Why spend so much more on 'Exam Guarantee' costs (often covertly rolled into the cost of the course) - when good quality study materials, the proper support and exam preparation systems and a dose of commitment and effort are what's required.

We can all agree: There really is no such thing as personal job security anymore; there can only be industry or sector security - companies can just remove anyone whenever it suits the company's business interests. It's possible though to locate security at the market sector level, by looking for high demand areas, together with a shortage of skilled staff.
